National Doctors Day: write a letter and win

SADAG is calling on the community to write a letter of appreciation to a doctor and stand a chance to win R1000.

WRITE a letter of thanks to a doctor and stand a chance to win. Today, November 16 is National Doctors Day and the South African Depression and Anxiety Group (SADAG) has come up with a special way for the community to show their appreciation to the healthcare specialists who keep them healthy.

In a statement, SADAG said they have partnered with EthiQal to encourage South Africans to acknowledge and thank doctors for the services they deliver on a daily basis.

“EthiQal honour this annual tradition of celebrating doctors countrywide, through its This is why we say thank you campaign.  EthiQal calls on the country to express gratitude to its doctors for their bravery and commitment, by sharing their healthcare hero stories on the dedicated Doctors’ Day webpage,” read the statement.

Five lucky entrants will stand a chance to win R1 000 in cash and EthiQal will donate R 10 000 to the Healthcare Workers Care Network.

This is a nationwide support network that offers healthcare workers across the public and private sector free support, pro bono therapy, resources, training and psychoeducation.

To qualify, participants must submit their stories by visiting www.doctorsday.co.za, before 25 November 2021. Follow the Doctors’ Day stories on social media – @ethiqaldoctor and @TheSADAG.
