Help local photographer find owners of ‘treasured’ album

A photo album, discovered at the Biddulphs International storage unit in Westmead, caught the eye of a local photographer who is desperate to return it to its owner.

HILLCREST resident and photographer, Kim Thunder was on a mission to clean out a friend’s storage unit when he came across a photo album he simply did not want to put into a rubbish bin.

His friend’s unit was unfortunately damaged by the recent looting and unrest.

“Friends of mine, who now live in the United Kingdom, had kept important family items in their unit and asked me to go see what was left after the looting,” said Thunder.

One of the images Kim Thunder shared on Facebook of the album he found.

The photo album was discovered at the Biddulphs International storage facility in Westmead, Pinetown.

In a Facebook post Kim said, “Today we waded through a few things that were left at Biddulphs storage, a facility that was ransacked and pillaged, and I came across this photo album, one that was clearly the treasure of the keeper. Please help me find the family to whom this document of life belongs to.”

If anyone recognises the faces in the albums, contact Kim Thunder on 082 653 7677.
