A 10-YEAR-OLD-GIRL drowned at a swimming pool in uMhlanga on Friday and an inquest docket is now being investigated by Durban North SAPS.
Spokesperson for the Durban North SAPS, Captain Raymond Deokaran said the youngster was on holiday with her family when the tragedy occurred.
While he could not comment on the details surrounding the incident, he said the case is being investigated.

Netcare 911’s spokesperson, Shawn Herbst said paramedics responded to the incident at about 19:00 on Friday evening.
“Reports from the scene indicate that a 10-year-old girl was found unresponsive in the complex swimming pool. When medics arrived on scene, the child had already been pulled out the pool. The patient was assessed by an emergency care practitioner, however, showed no signs of life and was sadly declared deceased on the scene,” he said.
Herbst added that the circumstances leading up to the incident were not clear.
