A SUSPECT, linked to the theft of several intruder detection devices in Sunningdale, was arrested on Saturday by Marshall Security.
The company’s spokesperson, Tyron Powell said the suspect arrived at home in Sunningdale in a blue Kia Picanto.
“The vehicle was clearly visible when reviewing the CCTV footage. A description of the vehicle was circulated and was later spotted travelling on Umhlanga Rocks Drive by our Special Operations Team,” said Powell.

The Special Operations Team followed the vehicle and stopped it. Durban North SAPS were contacted and called to the scene.
“SAPS searched the vehicle and found four intruder detector devices. It was also established that the vehicle was a rental car, which had been wanted to by the car rental company since September 24, after the suspect failed to renew the rental contract,” Powell said.
The suspect was arrested and detained at the Durban North Police station. The suspect will be charged for theft and for the possession of suspected stolen items.
