Suspect sought in Greenwood Park murder

Greenwood Park detectives are appealing to the members of the community to assist in tracing and locating Ndlovu.

GREENWOOD Park SAPS are looking for any information on the whereabouts of Njabulo Ndlovu (28) who is linked to the murder of his step-aunt, Ntombifuthi Regina Chivambu (48), who was found murdered in her home in the area in January 2020.

Ndlovu is also linked to a 2019 kidnappimg case in the Highflats area involving a 15-year-old.

“On January 5, 2020, Greenwood Park SAPS were alerted to a body on Granite Avenue in Avoca Hills. When they arrived at the scene, they discovered the woman’s body lying on the bed. She was strangled to death and a towel was put in her mouth,” said police spokesperson, Colonel Thembeka Mbele.

Police established that a vehicle that was parked at the premises was also missing.

Subsequently, charges of murder and theft of motor vehicle were opened for investigation.

They also made a correlation between the victim and the suspect and leant that she was Ndlovu’s step-aunt.

“Greenwood Park detectives are appealing to the members of the community to assist in tracing and locating Ndlovu.”

“A warrant for his arrest was issued by the court,” said Mbele.
