Durban North police station temporarily closed due to Covid-19 case

The Community Service Centre will now operate from the uMhlanga SAPS satellite station at 1 Autumn Drive.

THE Durban North Police Station on Norrie Avenue has been temporarily closed after an officer tested positive for Covid-19.

Captain Raymond Deokaran, spokesperson for the Durban North SAPS, said the station was temporarily closed due to one of its members at the Community Service Centre (CSC) testing positive for Covid-19.

“The CSC will now operate from our satellite station at 1 Autumn Drive, uMhlanga for the convenience of the community. To access the station, the community can call 031 566 8500 to 8509 and 10111 for all emergencies and complaints which will be attended to accordingly.

“The telephone lines at Durban North Police Station will not be accessible for the duration of the closure. However, service delivery will not be hampered. The management at the station apologises for any inconvenience that may arise from this. The Station Commander Lieutenant Colonel Lombard can also be contacted on 082 411 5810,” Deokaran said.
