City suspends all cremations and burial bookings

The City will issue a notice once these services have resumed.

DUE to the public unrest across the City, the eThekwini Municipality has suspended all cremations and burial bookings.

The eThekwini Municipality’s spokesperson, Msawakhe Mayisela, said, “Due to unrest that is currently underway, and to ensure the safety of the public and employees, cremations and burial bookings have been postponed until further notice.”

The City said it will notify the public once these services have resumed.
