“It was also mentioned that the suspect had stolen a Weber braai stand from one of the units in the complex,” said company’ss spokesperson, Tyron Powell.

After a short search, the suspect was arrested on Collard Road with the stolen Weber in his possession.

Earlier that day a separate report was received from Windsor Drive of another attempted theft of a Weber braai.

“We encourage all residents who have been victims of any form of crime to open a case with SAPS,” said Powell.

“Not only does under reporting of incidents negatively impact the true reflection of crime in our country, but case numbers assist the police and security service providers with possible future arrests and convictions,” he added.
