Vodacom Durban July on track for weekend racing

While the race may still be on, that stands, boxes and suites at the Hollywoodbets Greyville Racecourse will remain empty.

EVEN though the country has been placed under an adjusted level 4 lockdown, the 125th running of ‘Africa’s greatest race’, the Vodacom Durban July, will go ahead on Saturday, 3 July.

Gold Circle confirmed that attendance at all race meetings in KwaZulu-Natal, until further notice, would be limited to essential services, trainers, jockeys, grooms, NHA Staff and Gold Circle staff.

No owners, Gold Circle members or box/suite holders will be permitted access to Hollywoodbets Greyville or Hollywoodbets Scottsville.

The Vodacom Durban July (VDJ) race meeting can be viewed on Tellytrack (DSTV Channel 249) and via the official broadcast on SuperSport 4 (DSTV Channel 204) from 13:00 to 16:00 on Saturday.

The 1st race is off at 11:15, the VDJ run will begin at 15:00 and the 10th race will be off at 16:45.
