LISTEN: uMhlanga radio DJ makes desperate plea for help in armed robbery

Security personnel is aware and rescue services are on standby. 

DEEJAYS at Megazone Media were held at gunpoint this evening after armed men stormed the station.

The incident occurred during Lance Nayager’s show, who called for help via social media.

Kyle van Reenen of Emer-G-Med said the armed suspects forced their way into the premises and held up the presenters during the radio show, making off with a number of high-end electronic devices.

“The presenters were assessed by Emer-G-Med and found to have sustained no injuries in the ordeal,” he said.

It is believed that numerous other businesses along Palm Boulevard were also targeted by the perpetrators.

The South African Police Services were in attendance and will be conducting the necessary investigation accordingly.
