uMhlanga arrest leads to dagga worth R8 400 being recovered

Police received information about a man dealing in drugs at a business premises in uMhlanga.

A 39-YEAR-OLD man has been arrested in an intelligence-driven operation in uMhlanga for dealing in drugs.  

KZN police spokesperson, Captain Nqobile Gwala said the suspect was arrested on Wednesday morning by the Phoenix Trio Crime Task Team following an operation.

“The police received information about a man that was dealing in drugs at a business premises in uMhlanga. The police wasted no time and proceeded to the said business premises and spotted the suspect in his vehicle. They approached the driver, requested to search the vehicle and 84 grams of hydroponic dagga with an estimated street value of R8400 was recovered. The vehicle was also seized and taken to the police pound for further investigation,” Gwala said. 

She added the suspect was arrested and charged for dealing in dagga.
