VIDEO: Three arrested in Kenville, linked to various housebreakings

The suspects were spotted on Smithfield Road changing number plates on a Silver Hyundai IX35.

THREE suspects linked to a housebreaking incident in Kenville were arrested on Wednesday by Marshall Security and Phoenix SAPS.

According to the company’s spokesperson, Tammy Gove, members of Marshall’s Special Operations Team were on patrol on Smithfield Road when they noticed suspects changing number plates on a Silver Hyundai IX35.

“As our team members, together with members from Phoenix Trio Crime unit, approached the vehicle the suspects started to flee. Three suspects were immediately arrested. Unfortunately, one suspect managed to evade arrest.

“Upon further investigation, various housebreaking implements were found in the vehicle. The vehicle was fitted with false plates. It is believed the suspects were on their way to commit a housebreaking in the area. The suspects are possibly linked to various housebreakings and house robberies in the area,” she said.

The suspects were taken to Greenwood Park SAPS.
