Attorney found dead in uMhlanga apartment

The man's brother made the discovery.

THE body of a 47-year-old attorney was discovered in his apartment on Solstice Road in uMhlanga Ridge after a relative requested assistance from Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA) at about 11.34am on Friday. 

RUSA officers and paramedics found Theasen Pillay’s body in his bedroom with stab wounds to his arm and chest.

According to RUSA spokesperson, Prem Balram, the man’s brother made the discovery.

Captain Raymond Deokaran, spokesperson for the Durban North police station confirmed that an inquest docket had been opened but could not comment further on the matter. 

Several people have paid tribute to Pillay expressing shock over his passing.
