The vehicle was reportedly stolen from Nkandla earlier this year.

TWO suspects were arrested on the N2 near the Sibaya off-ramp on Tuesday morning by a private security company and a tracking with the help of the SAPS.

The police were on a routine patrol when they were informed about the vehicle, which was stolen earlier that morning.

Captain Raymond Deokaran, spokesperson for the Durban North station, said police found toy firearms and police uniforms in the vehicle.

“The suspects were arrested just after 6am this morning on the N2. The suspects were found with a firearm which turned out to be a toy gun. Two sets of police uniform, including boots, were also recovered from the vehicle and the vehicle itself was stolen in a house robbery in Nkandla. The suspects have been placed into police custody while our investigations continue,” he said.
