TWO suspects were arrested and charged for being in possession of drugs on Monday just after midday on the M4 Ruth First Highway.
According to Captain Raymond Deokaran, spokesperson for the Durban North SAPS, the station’s Crime Prevention Unit was patrolling in uMhlanga when they spotted suspects acting suspiciously.

“The suspects got into a white BMW and as the officers approached the vehicle to get them to stop, they sped off and a short chase ensued, leading to the suspects being arrested on the M4. They were found in possession of a block of cocaine weighing 30kg worth an estimated street value of R30 000. The suspects were also in possession of a large amount of cash,” he said.
Deokaran said the suspects were charged with possession of drugs and will be appearing in court later this week.
