Stolen vehicle recovered on Chris Hani Road

The vehicle was stolen last month in the KwaMashu area.

A VEHICLE that was stolen in KwaMashu last month was recovered in the early hours of Tuesday morning.

According to Marshall Security spokesperson, Tyron Powell, the vehicle was spotted on Old North Coast Road and Chris Hani Road (North Coast Road).

“One of our armed reaction officers noticed a white Chevrolet bakkie parked on the corner of Old North Coast Road and North Coast Road. Our team contacted Greenwood Park SAPS for assistance after noticing that the number plates of the vehicle were not the same and that the interior of the vehicle was stripped and tampered with. It was later established that the vehicle was stolen last month in the KwaMashu area. The scene was secured and the vehicle was handed over to SAPS for further investigation and processing,” he said.

Powell added that over the Easter weekend, two vehicles linked to crime incidents were recovered in north Durban.
