Durban North market cancelled as fields turn to ‘lakes’

The South African Weather Service (SAWS) issued a weather warning on their website.

HEAVY rainfall left sport fields looking more like lakes at the Northwood Crusaders Sports Club this morning (Friday, 26 March).

The club took to social media to share photos of their waterlogged fields, saying the 031 Market which was set to take place this evening at the club had been cancelled.

The images, which were shared on the club’s Facebook page, showed a section of the field submerged in water.
