Family of 3 injured in N2 multi-vehicle crash

A truck and three cars were involved in the crash.

FOUR vehicles were involved in an accident on the N2 highway, northbound near Westwood Mall, today (Wednesday, 17 March). 

Sheldon Lombard, spokesperson for Rescue Care paramedics said they responded to the scene at 10.10am.

“A truck and three cars were involved in the crash,” said Lombard. 

While there were no serious injuries at the scene, Lombard said Rescue Care paramedics treated four patients who were traveling in one of the vehicles involved in the crash.

“The vehicle was an e-hailing taxi. We treated four occupants – the driver of the taxi and a family of three – two adults and a minor. Both adults sustained moderate injuries and the minor sustained mild injuries. They were transported to a hospital. The taxi driver did not require further care,” he said.

Rescue Care Paramedics did not treat patients from the other vehicles involved in the crash. Lombard said other service providers were on the scene.
