Gunshot victim dies at Durban North SAPS

Durban North SAPS called for paramedics after a gunshot victim arrived at the police station.

A GUNSHOT victim died at the Durban North police station today (26 January) at approximately 4pm.

Henry Landman, Crisis Medical spokesperson said they responded to the scene.

“Crisis Medical received a call from Durban North police after a gunshot victim arrived at the police station. It’s alleged that a vehicle had arrived at the station with a gunshot victim in the passenger seat. Ambulances were immediately dispatched to the scene,” said Landman.

The victim passed away at the scene.

“There was nothing paramedics could do and the victim was declared deceased by Crisis Medical Paramedics. The driver of the vehicle did not sustain any injuries but was in a state of shock,” said Landman.

The events leading up to the incident are unknown at this stage and will be investigated by SAPS.

 The Durban North SAPS did not send their comment at the time this article was published.
