‘Donut’ miss out on this competition

There is one book up for grabs to one lucky Highway Mail reader.

ONE lucky Highway Mail reader stands the chance to win a copy of A Recipe for Miracles, written by the owner of Wicked Donuts, Jeanne Brooks.

The Durban-based entrepreneur recently launched her first book in which she shares the journey she took to find her life’s purpose.

The book is described as ‘compelling’ and ‘powerful’ as it follows Brooks as she pushes herself to the brink to reach her goals. She candidly and affectionately guides the reader through her journey that sees her navigate the forces of family, faith, and mental illness before she found success as a baking entrepreneur in the 031.

“Most of us go through a phase in our lives when things feel completely hopeless. I found myself in such a place when I started writing this book and, as I wrote, it became evident that bad times don’t last forever and sometimes things have to fall apart for better things to take their place. I hope to encourage others to realise that losing it all may be the greatest catalyst to starting over and creating the life of your dreams. Never ever lose hope!” said Brooks.

The book is available on Amazon as an e-book and as a paperback. Each books is R199 each and 50 per cent of the profit will be donated to the Gift of the Givers Foundation.

The competition will close on Friday, 29 January.
