“I get a lot of behavioural consults and calls when dogs are about five or six months old and pet owners say they need their puppies to be social and listen to them. This is when dogs are reaching the adolescent stage and the socialisation window for puppies closes at 16 weeks so a lot of people have missed the boat by the time they reach out for help. I just want to educate people about the importance of puppy socialisation,” she said.
