“Our team spotted a suspect that is known for housebreaking in the area. He fled and the team chased him for about 45 minutes through various properties and through the Virginia Bush. The suspect was jumping in and out of properties. He then ran into a property on the corner of Mathias Place. He jumped over a wall and our reaction officer followed. The suspect then confronted our officer with a knife and the officer defended himself and shot the suspect,” said Powell.
