Metro Police pilot booking system at Verulam testing centre

The project is being piloted in the interest of public safety, said Metro Police spokesperson, Senior Superintendent, Parboo Sewpersad.

METRO Police management are piloting a central booking system project at the Verulam Testing Station for the renewal of driving licences.

Metro Police spokesperson, Senior Superintendent, Parboo Sewpersad, said the decision was taken due to the Covid-19 pandemic, which was placing strain on various test centres around the province with large crowds queuing.

“Due to the coronavirus pandemic and with large number of applicants queuing at the testing station, Metro Police management decided to pilot the project in the interest of public safety. In order to streamline processes, there is a scheduled booking system in place.
