Three killed in Glen Anil collision

The Ethekwini Fire and Rescue Services used hydraulic tools to free the deceased from the wreckage.

THREE people were fatally injured in a collision involving two vehicles on Old North Coast Road in Glen Anil  just before midday on Sunday.

Shawn Herbst, media liaison officer for Netcare Limited and Netcare 911, said the Ethekwini Fire and Rescue Services used hydraulic tools to free the deceased from the wreckage.

Netcare 911 paramedics responded to reports of a collision in the area.

“Reports from the scene indicate that two vehicles were involved in a collision. When paramedics arrived on scene they found that three occupants of the red car had sustained fatal injuries,” he said.

Another two people were involved in the accident, said Herbst.

“Two occupants from the white car had sustained moderate injuries and were treated on scene before being transported by ambulance to hospital,” he said.
