Vehicle recovered after Greenwood Park theft

The stolen vehicle was found abandoned in KwaMashu.

A VEHICLE stolen in the Greenwood Park area was recovered in KwaMashu, where the vehicle had been abandoned on Umzumbe Road.

The vehicle was recovered at approximately 11.45 am on Thursday, said Tyron Powel of Marshall Security.

“We received an alert that a Ford Ranger had been stolen in the Greenwood Park area. Marshall Security’s Special Operations Team were immediately activated,” he said.

The vehicle was recovered using the tracker that was installed. 

“The vehicle was fitted with a tracker and a signal was picked up in the KwaMashu area. The stolen vehicle was found abandoned in KwaMashu C-section on Umzumbe Road,” said Powel. 

The scene was secured by the Marshall Security team and handed over to the SAPS. The Greenwood Park SAPS did not send their comment at the time this article was published.
