uMhlanga’s Chris Saunders Park open for exercise only

According to the association, anyone who breaks the laws will be asked to leave the premises.

CHRIS Saunders Park has now been reopened to the public under strict conditions.

The two hectare park, which is owned and managed by the Umhlanga Ridge Town Centre Management Association, can only be used for exercise purposes at the moment.

The park had been closed until last week said the association in a statement.

“Under the Covid-19 restrictions, government regulations had initially determined that all parks should be closed. At the moment, the Chris Saunders park may be used for exercise only. All surfaces of the park are sanitised before opening each day.

“The ablutions will remain closed for the time being for those using the park. In addition, masks must be used at all times in the public spaces, should a person be training hard they may opt for a sports mask which aids breathing,” the association said in a statement.

The association added those breaking the laws would be asked to leave the premises.
