June’s spectacular football calendar by Betway

The forthcoming EURO 2020 is one of the most watched sporting events in the world and matches will be played in 11 cities all over Europe.

The kick off of the first match will take place in Rome and will be between Italy and Turkey on the 11th of June.

The tournament will take a month to complete and the final will be played on the 11th of July at Wembley Stadium in London. The five top teams that are seen as contenders to win this year’s competition are England, France, Belgium, Italy and Portugal.

Copa América 2021 is another massive soccer tournament on the June calendar. The tournament sees 10 teams from all over South America competing to be the continent’s champion. The host country of the tournament was recently changed as Argentina and Colombia opted to pull out of hosting the event and Brazil took over as the host country.

The first match of the tournament takes place on the 13th of June and the action will carry on until the 11th of July. Brazil, Argentina, Chile, Colombia and Uruguay have all been tipped as strong contenders to take home the silverware this year. Brazil will be hoping that a home ground advantage will give them the edge to keep the trophy for another four years.

The semi finals of Africa’s biggest club competition which is the CAF Champions League will start on the 18thof June when South Africa’s Kaizer Chiefs take on Wydad AC (Morocco) in their first leg match of the semi final. Kaizer Chiefs will be making the journey to Casablanca for this match which is scheduled to kick off at 21:00. Wydad AC will be travelling to the FNB Stadium in Johannesburg on the 25th of June for their second leg match against AmaKhosi. The final match will be played on the 17th of July with the venue still to be announced.
