“When our Tactical Team confronted the two men and questioned them on the contents of the bags they were carrying, the suspects dropped the bags and fled on foot. A chase on foot ensued one of the men was arrested. The other suspect evaded capture after disappearing into an informal settlement nearby,” Moodley said.

Items recovered included various power and hand tools, a tool box, fan and clothing.

“Further investigations revealed that a housebreaking had occurred in a nearby street. Access to the property had been gained through a garage window which had been forced open. The suspect was handed over to Greenwood Park SAPS where he is currently in custody pending further investigations,” Moodley said.
