Armed suspects arrested in Glenhills

The suspects have been connected to six recent housebreaking incidents in the area, said Marshall Security.

TWO armed suspects were arrested in the early hours of Sunday morning during a robbery in Bixa Close while a third suspect, who fled the scene on foot was nabbed during a pursuit.  The suspects have been connected to a spate of over six housebreaking incidents in the Glenhills suburb in the past month.  That’s according to the spokesperson for Marshall Security, Kyle Van Reenen who was commenting following the arrest.

He added that the suspects were found to be wearing clothes taken in a recent housebreaking in Bixa Close, as well as being in possession of knives, bolt cutters and various other housebreaking implements.

“Acting on information, Marshall Security’s Special Operations Team apprehended the suspects as they attempted to flee from a residential complex in Rinaldo Road just before 1am this morning. Two of the suspects were apprehended on site whilst a third attempted to flee on foot and was apprehended by additional Marshall Security armed response officers,”  said Van Reenen.

The suspects were handed over to the South African Police Services for further investigation and processing.
