Glenashley home catches fire

Fire fighters received a call for help just after 7am this morning.

FIRE fighters fought for about an hour to extinguish the blaze at a Lynn Road home this morning where a fire had broken out.

Bheki Hadebe, Division Commander for the eThekwini Fire and Emergency Services said they received the call for help just after 7am.

“The fire was extinguished within one hour, it was confined to the garage which had been converted into a room or flat for rent,” he said.

At this stage, the cause of the fire is unknown, added Hadebe.
