SAPS search for duo convicted of Gateway jewellery shop burglary

DURBAN North SAPS have confirmed they are still searching for two suspects for their involvement in the break-in of a jewellery store at Gateway in 2013.

Judgement was due to be handed down to the suspects at the Durban Magistrate’s Court but the duo never appeared and have been on the run for more than a year.

“In all, three suspects were arrested in connection with the burglary of Cherry Design Jewellery at the Gateway Theatre of Shopping. One of the suspects was successfully convicted while the other two managed to escape. We are appealing to the public to contact us if they have seen or know the whereabouts of the suspects,” Deokaran said.

Private investigator, Sean Pierce, who is also looking for the suspects, shared an image of the duo on his Facebook page.
