Chelsea learners brings Christmas cheer

I Care has been assisting street children in Durban for the past 17 years.

LEARNERS from Chelsea Preparatory School donated gifts toward the I Care shoe box drive recently. The charity has been assisting street children in Durban for the past 17 years.

“The pupils of Chelsea Prep support I Care each year and this December managed to collect over 500 Christmas shoeboxes for the street children in Durban this Christmas,” said Debbie Maritz, deputy principal for the Junior Primary at Chelsea Preparatory School.

Gail Elson, marketing manager for I Care, said the donation would help to transform the lives of street children.

“We have been blessed by many individuals who have responded, and have been hugely blessed by both Chelsea Preparatory School who have given us hundreds of Christmas shoe boxes, filled with lovely goodies that children not as fortunate as ourselves will receive,” she added.
