Residents give back to Domino Foundation

The residents handed over several mobile cots to the foundation.

DURBAN North wife and mother, Ursula Jansen, has a knack of putting together ‘chillax’ mornings three or four times a year where only moms are invited. In her own words, these are times set aside apart from the pressures of running their families and homes for the ladies to enjoy a few hours.

At Jansen’s most recent gathering, one of the participants had brought a sample of cot mobiles she had been making.

The other women in the group were enchanted with the design and determined to join her in making more mobiles for the Babies’ Home run by The Domino Foundation in Durban North.

“We felt we needed to do something together for a better cause than just having time-out from our daily routines,” said Annomi Kriel, one of the women who put their crafting talents to work.

Precious Thabete, house mother at the Babies’ Home was on hand to receive the brightly coloured mobiles.

“These lovely mobiles are a great addition to our babies’ bedrooms and will provide wonderful visual stimulation for them.”
