New home for Christmas tree sales

THE Umhlanga Round Table No 155 has again urged residents to support this year’s Christmas tree sales at their new venue, the Crusaders Sports Club. Round Table member, Adrian Pretorius, said they had recently changed venues after being at the Danville Park soccer grounds for the past 15 years.

“We just wanted to let the north Durban community know we are at a new venue. When we made the move we felt Crusaders was central and easily accessible. The sales begins this Friday, 29 November and the trees should begin arriving after 11am. We’ve also stationed one person at the Virginia soccer grounds to let people know we’ve moved.
Pretorius added that sales run from Friday 29 November to Sunday, 22 December.

“From Saturday we will run from 8am to 6pm from Saturday, 30 November onwards. We’ve always had fantastic support from the Durban North and uMhlanga communities and I’m sure it will continue this year. This is for a good cause and instead of buying a tree from elsewhere, where the profit goes to the sellers, why not support charity,” he explained.

The sales tent is situated at the entrance to Crusaders Sports Club on 10 Ranleigh Crescent. Sales open on Friday, 29 November after 11am. Contact Adrian on 082 441 7322.
