Armed gang target eMdloti home

The incident occurred just before midday on Newsel Road.

DURBAN North SAPS are searching for a gang involved in an armed robbery of a home on Newsel Road in eMdloti on Tuesday.

The incident occurred just before midday confirmed Capt Raymond Deokaran, spokesman for the Durban North police.

“The homeowner and his domestic worker were home at the time of the robbery. Five men, four of whom were armed, gained access to the house and forced the duo to lie down on the floor. Two of the suspects stood guard over the duo while the other three suspects ransacked the home.

“The gang were inside the home for approximately 30 minutes and then locked the homeowner and the domestic worker in a bathroom and then fled. Items including a TV, laptop, iPhone, several cameras and other items of value were stolen by the suspects,” Deokaran explained.

No arrests have yet been but police are working with various roleplayers in trying to bring the gang to book.
