Hotel sign catches fire in uMhlanga

The fire erupted at around 7.20pm on Saturday.

A HOTEL sign in uMhlanga caught alight at about 7.20pm on Saturday. Kyle Van Reenen of Marshall Security said it appeared to be an electrical fault that caused the fire.

“The fire department came and put the fire out. There were no injuries and no damage to the hotel itself, no damages to the inside of the room. As far as we know there were no evacuations,” he said.

The flames from the blaze were visible from the road.
