ESKOM has implemented load shedding due to a shortage of capacity between 9am and 11pm on Wednesday.
The power utility reminded residents and businesses to use electricity sparingly during this period.

Last month, Eskom refuted claims by the Democratic Alliance (DA) that there would planned load shedding in September or October however the power utility has done an about-turn on the matter.
Government has allocated R23 billion per year to Eskom for the next three years as part of a turnaround strategy
