Three dead in fatal north Durban collisions

In one incident, a taxi driver was ejected out of the vehicle and was declared deceased by paramedics on arrival.

A TAXI driver was killed after a fatal crash on Queen Nandi Drive last night. Another two died after their vehicle overturned in another accident at 4am on the M25 Kwamashu Highway.

Spokesperson for Crisis Medical, Kyle Van Reenen said they responded to both incidents.

“Crisis Medical paramedics attended to several motor vehicle collisions last night across the greater Durban area. Sadly two of the collisions were fatal.

In the first incident paramedics were called to the Queen Nandi Drive area after a minibus taxi had crashed into a street light. The driver and only occupant of the taxi was ejected in the collision and was declared deceased on arrival,” said Van Reeneen.

He added that both scenes will be investigated further by the South African Police Services.
