Women unite against femicide in silent protest

SA Women Fight Back has attracted 81 000 members since it was founded on 8 August.

A NATION wide initiative, organised by fledgling organisation, SA Women Fight Back, will see communities across the country gather for an hour of  silence from 11am until 12pm on Saturday, 31 August to pay respect to the countless women needlessly lost to violent crimes in South Africa.

The Durban venue, Jameson Park, on Musgrave Road in Morningside, will be confirmed at the end of the week once a permit has been secured. Participants are requested to arrive at 10:30am dressed in black with their placards.
