Armed gang targets Glen Anil home

The gang made off with the homeowner's vehicle in the incident.

AN armed gang robbed a Glen Anil family in the early hours of Saturday morning. According to Marshall Security’s Kyle van Reenen, the incident occurred at about 1am on Lemon Tree Lane.

“According to reports three suspects armed with knives and a crowbar climbed up on to the main balcony of the home situated on the corner of Lemon Tree Lane and Glen Anil Street. The suspects forced the aluminium door open before confronting the homeowner and her daughter who were asleep at the time.

“The gang then ransacked the home stealing various items including four cell phones, a  wedding ring, a TV and the homeowner’s vehicle which was later recovered in KwaMashu. The suspects are still at large and Greenwood Park SAPS tried to track the stolen phones but their attempts were unsuccessful,” he said.

Van Reenen added the family were traumatised by the incident.
