WIN: Movie tickets this Women’s Day long weekend

Honour women from diverse walks of life this Women’s Day long weekend.

What’s new at the movies?

Nu Metro celebrates women from diverse walks of life this month – the women who inspire and fight for equal rights among all, the mothers, the sisters, the girlfriends, the business leaders, the creative innovators who shape the world we live in today.

In honour of the Women’s Day long weekend, we invite you to treat the women in your life to the best in movie entertainment at Nu Metro cinemas in KZN – with all new releases already opening from Thursday, 8 August 2019.

If you haven’t seen it yet, treat the family to the action-filled adventure, comedy, musical charm and drama of the spectacular all-new version of Disney’s The Lion King. South Africa’s Number 1 movie for the past 3 weeks is still showing. It is reigning at the top as roaring entertainment – alongside SA’s current Number 2 box office hit, Fast & Furious: Hobbs & Shaw.

You can also save a lion when you watch a movie at Nu Metro: conveniently donate R5 as part of your movie ticket purchase online or in-cinema to raise funds aimed at saving South Africa’s lions – as part of Nu Metro’s partnership with the non-profit Four Paws Animal Welfare Foundation, which relies solely on donations to create a better world for our big cats.

The new movies this weekend include a scary horror to set your goosebumps on fire as well as two new releases from Bollywood.

SCARY STORIES TO TELL IN THE DARK (16 HLPV)

It’s 1968 in America. Change is blowing in the wind but seemingly far removed from the unrest in the cities is the small town of Mill Valley where for generations, the shadow of the Bellows family has loomed large. It is in their mansion on the edge of town that Sarah, a young girl with horrible secrets, turned her tortured life into a series of scary stories, written in a book that has transcended time—stories that have a way of becoming all too real for a group of teenagers who discover Sarah’s terrifying tome.
