Stats SA issue scam alert to job seekers

The national statistical service issued the alert on their Facebook page.

STASTISTICS South Africa (StatsSA) has warned job seekers not to fall victim to scams circulating on social media.

The national statistical service took to social media to issue a scam alert on their Facebook page.

“We are currently busy with a registration drive on the database that will be used to find candidates for contract opportunities. There are a few scams doing the rounds claiming to be from StatsSA. Please make sure that you only register on the StatsSA website,” read the post.

StatsSA confirmed that registration is free and no interviews have been scheduled yet.
