Buy a book for as little as R1 at the La Lucia Library book sale
Funds generated from the sale will go toward buying new books for the library.
THE La Lucia Library will host a book sale on Saturday, 27 July and assistant librarian, Sisanda Gumede has encouraged book lovers to take advantage of amazing deals.
“The books are going to be very, very cheap. We will have a wide range of items on sale across all genres. Magazines will be going for as little as R1 and books will be between R5 and R15. Some of the books are brand new,” he said.

The funds generated from the sale will go toward buying new books for the library to keep the shelves stocked with the latest novels and offer the community bookworms the best that literature has to offer.
“The last time we bought new books was last month on 1 June,” said Gumede.
The library will need to raise thousands of Rands in order to purchase the new books.
“We hope we can raise about R5000,” added Gumede.
