Suspects nabbed after attempted La Lucia home invasion

The suspects were arrested and handed over to the Durban North SAPS.

TWO suspects have been arrested and a firearm recovered after an attempted robbery in La Lucia on Tuesday.

According to Marshall Security’s Kyle van Reenen, the company received a panic alarm from a homeowner in Timavo Drive.

“The homeowner said two suspects had attempted to force entry to her property, however, they had fled when she noticed them and screamed for help. A description of the two suspects was distributed to responding vehicles and two men were spotted on the corner of Timavo Road and Ronan Road.

“A search of the duo revealed one to be in possession of an unlicensed firearm and live ammunition. The suspects were arrested and handed over to the Durban North SAPS,” he said.
