Triple the celebration at Totalsports Women’s Race

The Totalsports Women’s Race will be hosted on one day (Friday, 9 August-National Women’s Day) across three major cities (Johannesburg, Cape Town and Durban).

FOR the first time since the events inception in 2001, South Africa’s largest Women’s Day Celebration, the Totalsports Women’s Race will be hosted on one day (Friday, 9 August-National Women’s Day) across three major cities (Johannesburg, Cape Town and Durban).

“We are extremely excited to host the Totalsports Women’s Race on one day across three cities,” said Agne du Plessis, Stillwater Sports general manager: road running.

“In previous years the event would kick off in Durban in July before heading to Johannesburg and Cape Town. This year we will triple the fun on National Women’s Day with women from all walks of life in Johannesburg, Cape Town and Durban uniting to take on a 5km or 10km road run (or walk) in support of PinkDrive.”

The Totalsports Women’s Race is a fun filled Women’s Day celebration that encourages a healthy lifestyle and supports PinkDrive,” said Patrick Singh, Head of Totalsports Marketing.

“We are proud to host South Africa’s largest Women’s Day celebration and extremely excited to be doing so in three major cities on one day in 2019. This year we will emphasise the message that we are #StrongerTogether.”
