TAKE NOTE: Various roads closed on Sunday for Tour Durban

The roads will be closed as hundreds of cyclists take part in the 26th edition of the aQuellé Tour Durban.

THE aQuellé Tour Durban, one of the biggest events on Durban’s sporting calendar, will see another huge field take on the 55km race that includes 15km of MTB off-road racing through the sugar cane plantations inland of the M4, while the well supported 45km fun ride up-and-back the M4 to eMdloti and back to the start and finish venue at the Moses Mabhida.

Race organisers have however warned motorists to take note of the various roads that will be closed and severely affecting traffic on the day, Sunday, 28 April.

CLOSED ROADS

  • Masabalala Yengwa (NMR): closed between 5.30am and 2.30pm
  • Margaret Mncadi Avenue: closed between 5.30am and 8am
  • M4 South: closed between 5.30am and 8.30am
  • M7 Edwin Swales & M19 to Pinetown: closed between 6am and 9.30am
  • M19 Pinetown to Umgeni Road: closed between 6.15am and 10am
  • Inanda Road (Springfield Park): closed between 6.30am and 10.15am
  • Riverside Road: closed between 6.30am and 10.30am
  • M4 North both directions: closed between 6.30am and 2pm
