Don’t be fooled by bogus police trainee intake add

Beware of fake SAPS trainee vacancy adverts online.

YET another fake police job advert is doing the rounds on social media. That’s according to the  South African Police Service (SAPS) who have warned all job seekers to be on the lookout.

In a statement the SAPS said the fake advert, purported to be from the SAPS, encourages interested people to apply for police trainee intake.

“A recent fake advertisement for police trainees has been brought to our attention that has been advertised via this link: https://whatsappgroup.co.za/…/saps-basic-policing-traineesh…/ There are no vacancies for new recruits to join the SAPS at the moment. As soon as an announcement is made in this regard and advertisements have been published on the SAPS website and in print media, we will inform our online communities,” the SAPS said.

They added that advertisements for any posts within its structures are, if and when they become available, placed in a range of newspapers in the country to reach as many potential and suitable candidates as possible.
