Eskom implements Stage 2 loadshedding

In a statement Eskom said the rotational loadshedding would start at 1pm and likely continue until 10pm.

The utility’s Chief Financial Officer Calib Cassim said it’s also important to note that the application is coming off a 2,2 per cent and 5,23 per cent price adjustments respectively in the previous years.

POWER utility has announced it has implemented Stage 2 loadshedding due to a ‘shortage of capacity’.

In a statement Eskom said the rotational loadshedding would start at 1pm and likely continue until 10pm.

“This is as a result of a shortage of capacity. There is also a need to replenish and preserve emergency water and diesel resources to limit loadshedding possibility in the following week,” the utility said in a statement.

This is the first time Eskom has implemented loadshedding in two months.
