Man arrested for uMhlanga business break-in

The suspect was found in possession of a Sony Bravia TV screen and a work computer.

A MAN was arrested on Sunday night after he broke-in to a business premises in uMhlanga Ridge.

According to Grant Frost, of Excellerate Services, the suspect had dug under the fence of the business.

“Our patrol officers identified him as he attempted to escape. We then found his tracks leading to a bush nearby. The security guards who were investigating ordered a response vehicle in the direction of the tracks and found the suspect.

“He was found in possession of a Sony Bravia TV screen and a work computer found in a stash under a bush. He was handed over to Durban North SAPS,” said Frost.

The successful arrest follows an incident two weeks ago after a man was arrested for stealing metal pieces off uMhlanga’s Millennium Bridge.
