The Blythedale Coastal Adventure Market is set on the pristine North Coast in Blythedale and boasts some of the most breathtaking views, surrounded by an indigenous forest and crystal blue ocean on its doorstep.

Markets are held monthly and offer something uniquely different every time. The themed monthly activation of the Blythedale Coastal Adventure Market uncorks with the launch of the Blythedale Wine Experience, sponsored by KWV.

The market is like no other KZN has seen before. Our concept pairs adventure activities with local vendors, creating a unique market blend. Over 70 vendors have signed up for this weekend’s offering. This includes the best artisanal food, clothing and crafts the North Coast has to offer. Guests will be spoilt for choice with more than 30 unique food stalls supplying a whole host of exotic scents and fanciful flavours to whet the appetite.

One can figuratively traverse the globe when sampling dishes from India, Mauritius, China, Italy, Greece, and the Middle East. The crafts on show will catch the eye, and could certainly make good gifts for somebody looking to treat themselves.

Entertainment is a key part of this adventure market. Interesting artists display their musical talent on the first Sunday of every month. Our all-inclusive beach bar is set under the eaves of the coastal forest, right at the edge of the beach. The Beach Bar features live music from the talented Milton, our resident acoustic guitarist, with local distilleries and breweries showcasing their products weekly. Food services are run from the marquee and extend to the very edge of the beach.

The hillside marquee has been dubbed “The Seaview Bar” and it’s here that wine takes centre-stage. It’s a perfect accompaniment to the main musical act, 2 Unique. This talented duo cover a wide range of chilled music, including R&B, soft rock, reggae and jazz.  Our stunning waitresses  will serve up a selection of four KWV wine tasters – available for purchase by glass and by the bottle from the bar. If wine is not to your taste, don’t worry, craft beverages are in vogue and the market offers a great selection of beers, gins and cocktails, perfect for the discerning drinker.

The market has plenty of activities available to keep the entire family entertained. At the moment, parents have 70km of mountain biking and running trails available, with more activities to be added in due time. Kids won’t get bored while grown-ups enjoy a drink or two; they’ll have so much to do. They can explore the terrain with guided pony rides, or horse around on the inflatables and slippery slides, always closely monitored by our professional lifeguards and childminders. And if anyone’s worried about missing football and cricket this Sunday, there’s no need to worry – the coffee shop has SuperSport.
